Goa Police is continuously interrogating Bengaluru startup CEO Suchana Seth, accused of murdering her four-year-old son amid a divorce battle with her husband. Meanwhile, information has come to light that Soochana Seth had accused her of domestic violence in August. She had alleged physical abuse of the child and herself and demanded Rs 2.5 lakh per month for maintenance, claiming that her husband’s annual income was more than Rs 1 crore. Soochna had also submitted WhatsApp messages, photographs along with copies of medical records to prove her claim of domestic violence.

Police have speculated that she may have killed her child because of this court order. The last hearing of the domestic violence case was held on December 12. More than three weeks ago, Seth and his son had moved into a service apartment in Candolim in North Goa, where he allegedly murdered his son. Information also came to light that Soochana Seth had attempted suicide after committing the heinous crime of murdering his son. Police gave this information on Tuesday after preliminary investigation.

On Tuesday, Soochna Seth was caught running away carrying his son’s body in a brown bag. Goa Police arrested him in Chitradurga, Karnataka. This happened after Goa Service Apartment staff found a blood-stained towel while cleaning her room. According to the post mortem report, the child was murdered by strangulation. Dr Kumar Naik, administrative officer of Hiriyur Taluk Hospital, said, “The child died by strangulation. It seems that a pillow or some other object has been used. It does not appear that strangulation was done with hands.” Naik said that no signs of bleeding or struggle were found on the child’s body. Police officials suspect that a high dose of cough syrup was given to the victim to incapacitate him. Officials found two empty cough syrup bottles from Soochana Seth’s room. In such a situation, the police is investigating from all these angles.

She has been a Mozilla Fellow in Data and Society, a researcher at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center, and the Raman Research Institute. He also holds patents in natural language processing. He did his post graduation from Kolkata University.
