Home Minister Amit Shah has discussed in the Lok Sabha today about the Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Defense Code and Indian Evidence Act which bring changes in the new laws of the country. He said during the discussion that the old laws were made by the then foreign rulers to help them maintain their dominance. Home Minister Amit Shah said in the Lok Sabha that for the first time, laws are going to be made according to the spirit of our Constitution under the leadership of PM Modi. I am proud to have changed these three laws after 150 years. Some people used to say that we should understand them, I tell them that if you keep your mind as an Indian then you will understand. But if your mind is of Italy, you will never understand.
These will be big changes
Home Minister Amit Shah has told in the Lok Sabha that many changes have been made in the new law. Now in the new law, there is a provision of punishment of 20 years for gang rape, death or life imprisonment for rape of a minor. In incidents of mob lynching, there will be a provision ranging from life imprisonment to death penalty and in hit and run cases, there will be a provision of 10 years’ imprisonment. However, relief will also be provided if the injured is taken to the hospital and confesses his crime within 30 days.
Explanation of terrorism for the first time
Home Minister Amit Shah has said that till now there was no definition of terrorism in any law. For the first time now Modi government is going to explain terrorism. So that no one can take advantage of its lack. He said that this is not the rule of the British, this is not the rule of Congress, this is the rule of BJP and Narendra Modi. No argument to save terrorism will work here.
