According to the forecast made by the Meteorological Department, cold weather will continue in many states of the country. The department has issued an alert according to which the minimum temperature will drop in many states of North India and North-West India for the next 2 to 3 days and due to the drop in temperature, conditions ranging from cold day to severe cold day are likely to persist. There is a possibility. In such a situation, people are not going to be spared from the cold wave. Along with this, there is a possibility of dense fog for the next two-three days, which will further increase the problems of the people. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert saying that hailstorm and rain may occur in many states of North-West, Central and South India.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the states of North-West India is being recorded at 10 degrees Celsius, while in the states of Eastern and North-East India, the minimum temperature is being recorded at 12 to 14 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, the lowest temperature of 2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Sikar, Rajasthan.

According to the India Meteorological Department, severe cold wave conditions are likely to persist for the next two to three days in many states including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and only after this, gradual relief from the cold wave is expected in some states. . Due to this, there is a possibility of severe cold in some states till 8th and 9th January.

According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbances will impact the states of North-West and Central India and due to this, heavy rains with thunderstorms and hailstorm are expected in some states from January 8 to 10. There is a possibility of hailstorm in some areas in Rajasthan and Western Madhya Pradesh, while there is a possibility of rain in North-West India, Central India as well as Maharashtra and Gujarat.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in South India for the next 5 days and there are chances of heavy rain in Kerala for two days and light rain in South Peninsular India. A special warning has been given to fishermen in coastal areas, especially Tamil Nadu, not to go to the beaches. Along with this, there is a possibility of dense to dense fog in North-West India during the next two days and after this it will gradually reduce.

According to the Meteorological Department, till January 8, dense fog will prevail in many parts of Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Haryana and Chandigarh and different areas of Uttar Pradesh for a few hours during night and morning, due to which the visibility level will remain up to 50 meters. There is a possibility. Visibility level is likely to remain between 50 meters to 200 meters for a few hours in the morning in different parts of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Tripura and Bihar.
