Sara is the daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and she married against her family. However, later his father accepted this relationship. The marriage of both lasted for many years. While filing nomination from Tonk Assembly during the Rajasthan Assembly elections in the year 2023, Sachin Pilot declared himself divorced.
