Meanwhile, the visits of senior RJD leaders to the official bungalow of Rabri Devi, wife of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad, located at 10 Circular Road, Patna, has increased. RJD sources said on the condition of anonymity, “We had made a plan many years ago to ensure that Nitish Kumar does not repeat what he did to us many years ago. Our party leads the grand alliance which is just 20 short of the required majority in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly. The Assembly Speaker is from our party, so we will muster the numbers. Nitish Kumar had left the RJD-Congress grand alliance in 2017 and formed the government with the BJP and in August 2022, the BJP is accused of trying to create a split in the JDU.
