All 41 laborers trapped in the under-construction Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand have been rescued safely. From PM Modi to Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami have also talked to all the workers and inquired about their well being. However, a worker from Bihar who came out of the tunnel has complained to CM Dhami that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar did not send any officer to inquire about his condition.

What is the whole matter?

According to PTI, a worker from Bihar, who was among the 41 workers, told CM Dhami on Wednesday that all the state governments had sent officials to the spot to inquire about the well-being of the stranded workers of their respective states, but our Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not. So no one was sent nor did we contact our family members at home to express their sympathy. I don’t know what mistake we did.

How are the workers now?

The workers evacuated from the Silkyara Tunnel were brought by helicopter to Rishikesh AIIMS on Wednesday where they are undergoing medical checkup. The condition of the workers is also said to be normal. However, he has been brought to AIIMS Rishikesh in view of possible health problems due to being stuck in the tunnel for more than two weeks.

CM Dhami honored

After the successful rescue operation in the tunnel, Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has made several big announcements. He has said that the Uttarakhand government will give a relief amount of Rs 1 lakh each to all 41 workers. Along with this, he will request the companies of these workers to give them leave without any salary deduction for 15 or 30 days. Along with this, it has also been announced to give Rs 50,000 to all the personnel participating in the rescue operation. (input language)
