Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger dies at the age of 100, had a controversial role in the India-Pakistan war

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger died on Wednesday at his home in Connecticut at the age of 100. Kissinger Associates, Inc. has given this information in a statement. Kissinger was a politician and renowned diplomat who influenced American foreign policy during the administrations of Presidents Richard M. Nixon and Gerald Ford. He was the only leader who, along with being the Foreign Minister, was also the National Security Advisor of the White House and held both the posts simultaneously. He celebrated his 100th birthday on 27 May this year.

When he arrived in America in 1938 as a Jewish immigrant fleeing Nazi Germany, he spoke little English, but he graduated from Harvard University. Majored in history and used his skills as a writer.
