Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that former PM Manmohan Singh has been ill for some time. He is walking on a wheelchair. But even after this he came to the House several times. During this period, on several occasions, when it was time to vote, he came to the Parliament House on a wheelchair and exercised his franchise. Along with this, he also came during the presidential elections. PM Modi said that he had not come to give strength to anyone else but democracy and the House.

After this, during his retirement speech, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that Manmohan Singh has been the Finance Minister and Prime Minister of this country. During his tenure the country achieved the highest growth rate. He was alert about his responsibilities. He said that Manmohan Singh has given so much to this country, which no one else can give.
