New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a tour of Surat in Gujarat and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh today on Sunday. In both these cities the Prime Minister will give gifts worth crores of rupees to the general public. According to the information given by the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will inaugurate the new integrated terminal building at Surat Airport on December 17 at around 10:45 am. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Surat Diamond Bourse at around 11:15 am. After this he will go to Varanasi and at around 3.30 he will participate in the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. At around 5:15 pm he will inaugurate the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023 at Namo Ghat.
Will inaugurate Surat Airport terminal and Diamond Bourse.
The Prime Minister will go directly to Surat from Delhi, where he will inaugurate the new integrated terminal building of Surat Airport. The terminal building has a capacity to handle 1200 domestic passengers and 600 international passengers during peak hours and has a provision to increase the peak hour capacity to 3000 passengers, taking the annual handling capacity to 55 lakh passengers. Along with this, PM Modi will also inaugurate Surat Diamond Bourse. It will be the world’s largest and most modern center for international diamond and jewelery trading. It will be a global center for trading in rough and polished diamonds as well as jewellery. The exchange will include state-of-the-art ‘Customs Clearance House’ for import-export, jewelery mall for retail jewelery business and international banking and secure vault facilities.

After Surat, PM Modi will go to Kashi
After giving many gifts to his home state, the Prime Minister will leave for his parliamentary constituency Varanasi. He has a two-day program here. During this, he will participate in the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra at K Cutting Memorial School grounds in Kashi. There the Prime Minister will interact with the beneficiaries of various government schemes like PM Awas, PM Swanidhi, PM Ujjwala. In line with his vision of One India, Best India, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023 at Namo Ghat. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also flag off the Kanyakumari-Varanasi Tamil Sangamam train. Along with this, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects costing about Rs 19,150 crore. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the New Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar-New Bhaupur Dedicated Freight Corridor project built at a cost of approximately Rs 10,900 crore.
