Tirupati: PM Modi has visited Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh. During this time, she was wearing South Indian clothes, pictures of which are being shared widely on social media. The PM went to Tirupati Balaji temple wearing traditional attire Veshti and Anga Vastram.
During this, the PM had applied Thirunamam on his forehead as per South Indian culture. The chief priest of the temple welcomed him at the Mahadwar. After this he visited the flag pillar of the temple and worshiped.
Also visited Maha Aarti
PM Modi entered the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and performed Maha Aarti with the worship of Lord Venkatesh. After circumambulating the temple, the priests of the temple in the Rang Naiki Mandap chanted mantras in honor of PM Modi and prayed for his health and public welfare.
PM stayed in the temple for 45 minutes
PM Modi spent about 45 minutes in the temple premises. Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam Chairman Karunakar Reddy and Executive Officer Dharma Reddy were also present with him. Due to PM Modi’s darshan, the darshan of common people was stopped for about 2 hours. On an average, 60 to 70 thousand devotees visit Tirupati Balaji temple every day.
