The public gave very shocking results

India TV had asked the public in its poll, ‘Was Nitish Kumar forced to apologize for his shameful statement due to immense pressure?’ And given the option of ‘yes’, ‘no’ or ‘can’t say’. 12176 people expressed their opinion on this question, out of which 90 percent believed that Nitish’s apology was the result of immense pressure. At the same time, there were 7 percent people who were not linking Nitish’s apology to any kind of pressure. There were also 3 percent people who responded to the poll who thought it best to go with the option of ‘Can’t say’.

‘…then I take back what I said’

After the uproar over his statement on ‘family planning’ in the Bihar Assembly premises and later inside the House, Nitish said, ‘If I have any problem with anything, then I take back what I said and I condemn it. I do and express my sorrow. You said that the Chief Minister should be ashamed, I am not only feeling ashamed, I am expressing sorrow for this. I take all these things back. You people must have received orders to criticize me, so I take back that word and whoever you criticize me, I congratulate you.
