New Delhi : Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that according to religious scriptures, no idol can be consecrated in a temple whose construction is incomplete, it is considered inauspicious. On Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury rejecting the invitation to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya, party MP Digvijay Singh said, “How many invitees have accepted the invitation? Can any established religious leader accept the invitation?” Has not done… He has expressed objection.

Digvijay Singh said that not only Congress but all the political parties who have received invitation – Shiv Sena, RJD, JD (U), TMC, CPI, CPI (M) – who is participating in it?… Lord Ram belongs to everyone. …We will be happy to visit the temple but first the construction should be completed. They have made it a BJP event.”

Let us tell you that the Congress Party has rejected the invitation for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony on 22 January. On behalf of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, invitation was sent to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Adhir Ranjan Choudhary. But the invitation was rejected by issuing a statement from the Congress party.

In the statement issued by the Congress Party, it was said that BJP and RSS have politicized the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony.
