The Supreme Court clearly refused to form any kind of SIT to investigate the allegations against Adani Group. The court said that out of the 24 cases, 22 have been investigated by SEBI and no irregularities were found anywhere. SEBI will also complete the investigation of the remaining two cases in the next three months. The Supreme Court also ordered SEBI to investigate if Hindenburg has committed any irregularities due to which Indian investors have suffered losses. Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Justice J. B. The bench of Justice Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra said in its decision that the petitioners have not been able to present any concrete evidence for the investigation against Adani Group. CJI Chandrachud said that without concrete evidence, third party reports in the media or any organization cannot be trusted, they do not have any concrete evidence. The court said that investigation cannot be ordered on the basis of Hindenburg or any such external report. The Hindenburg report came on January 24 last year in which serious allegations were made against the Adani Group. Just two days later, Adani Group was about to launch the country’s largest follow-on public offer. This FPO worth Rs 20 thousand crore was withdrawn by Adani Group because after the Hindenburg report, there was a huge fall in the shares of Adani Group. After the Hindenburg Report came out, many petitioners had applied to the Supreme Court to get it investigated. After a long hearing on this, the court had reserved its decision one and a half months ago in November. Gautam Adani expressed happiness after the Supreme Court’s decision on Wednesday. Gautam Adani said that truth has won, Satyamev Jayate. His group will continue to contribute to the development of the country.

Hindenburg’s report had raised questions on the functioning, investment and management of Adani Group. This issue was also raised loudly in the Parliament. Last year’s entire budget session was marred by uproar. Opposition parties had also raised questions on the functioning of SEBI. Now that the Supreme Court has refused to get the Adani Group investigated by SIT, the opposition parties are alleging that the country’s biggest court has not done justice to the investors. CPI-M general secretary, Sitaram Yechury, said that the Supreme Court had been requested to deliver justice, but he was disappointed with the court’s decision. Even after the Supreme Court’s decision, Congress raised questions on the functioning of SEBI. Congress MP Manish Tiwari said that the entire government is busy hiding Adani’s scam, that is why even when he raised the matter in the parliamentary committee, BJP had suppressed his voice on the strength of its majority. Manish Tiwari said that if SEBI had wanted, it could have honestly completed the investigation of this matter earlier.

Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Port and Special Economic Zone, was also included in this delegation of Adani Group. Karan Adani is the son of Gautam Adani. Adani Group wants to establish data center and aero space park in Telangana. It has been learned that Revanth Reddy has assured all possible help to Adani Group.
