After the bumper victory in Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party is continuously brainstorming about the contender for the post of CM. In the assembly elections held in the state, BJP had decided to contest under PM Modi and collective leadership instead of in the face of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Amidst the ongoing speculations regarding the post of CM, CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has made a big announcement. He has made it clear that he is not going to Delhi for any discussion at present.

Focus on seats lost earlier

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that he is not going to Delhi right now. He has said that tomorrow he will visit Chhindwara district, where BJP has not been able to win all the 7 seats. He said that he has only one resolution and that is to make BJP win all the 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. He said that PM Modi should get a garland of 29 lotus flowers from Madhya Pradesh.

Got a bumper victory in 2019

BJP’s performance in Madhya Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019 was excellent. The party had won 28 out of 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Whereas Congress had to be satisfied with only one seat, Chhindwara. At the same time, in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2014, BJP had captured 27 out of 29 seats in the state. Then Congress had to be content with Chhindwara and Guna i.e. a total of 2 seats.
