According to news agency ANI, the Bhubaneswar-Rourkela Vande Bharat train (20835) was targeted by stone pelters between Meramandali and Budhpank on the Dhenkanal-Angul railway section of the Bhubaneswar-Sambalpur railway line. Due to this incident the window of the EC class coach was damaged. Let us tell you that the window glasses were broken. However, there was no loss to the passengers.
Stone pelting again on Vande Bharat
In this regard, officials said that the window glass of an executive class coach of Rourkela-Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat train was damaged due to stone pelting. This is not the first time that Vande Bharat train has been targeted. Stones have been pelted at Vande Bharat in different parts of the country also. However, no passenger has been injured in any incident so far. Let us tell you that the information about damage to Vande Bharat was given by the on-duty RPF escorting staff. The security wing of ECOR has shown seriousness on this matter and RPF and GRP have been alerted.
Stone pelting is not stopping
After this incident, Assistant Security Commissioner (Cuttack) of RPF was sent to the spot. Let us tell you that Indian Railways is running an awareness campaign asking people not to throw stones on trains. This causes harm to passengers. Let us tell you that this campaign is being run especially by East Coast Railway. Railway officials said that information about stone pelting on Vande Bharat train has been given to the police. Strict action will be taken against those who throw stones. According to the information, both the security branches of ECoR are engaged in locating the stone pelters through the local police. Let us tell you that before this, stone pelting on Vande Bharat train has been seen in many states including West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh.
