Subrata Roy Sahara’s mortal remains will be taken to Lucknow by charter, he died on Tuesday

Sahara Group chief Subrata Roy breathed his last on Tuesday.

New Delhi: The mortal remains of Sahara Group chief Subrata Roy will be taken to Lucknow by charter at 2 pm. His body will be brought inside an ambulance from Gate No. 8 of Mumbai Airport. His body will be released from Kokilaben Hospital between 12.30 and 1 pm. It is noteworthy that Subrata Roy Sahara died at the age of 75 due to a heart attack on Tuesday.

Was admitted to the hospital on Sunday

The company had issued a statement in this regard saying that after his health deteriorated, he was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday. According to the statement, Subrata Roy, who was suffering from various diseases including high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time, died at 10.30 pm due to a heart attack.

Roy had built a big empire

Sahara Group chief Subrata Roy had built a vast business empire in the retail, real estate and financial services sectors. However he also remained at the center of a major controversy and had to face several regulatory and legal battles in relation to his group companies, which were accused of circumventing rules to create multi-level marketing schemes.

The company said that he was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday after his health deteriorated. According to the statement, Subrata Roy, who was suffering from various diseases including high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time, died at 10.30 pm due to a heart attack.
