There will not be much cold this winter
New Delhi: Winter season has arrived in India. Chilliness has started increasing in many parts of the country including North India. The fog has also given its cover. In many areas there is mild sunshine during the day but by evening the terror of cold increases. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Center has made predictions regarding winter. According to IMD, this year there will not be much winter from the main winter months i.e. December 2023 to February 2024.
Minimum temperatures likely to be above normal in most parts
IMD reported, “During the upcoming winter season (December 2023 to February 2024), minimum temperatures are likely to remain above normal over most parts of the country. During the season, except some areas of central and northwest India, While maximum temperatures are likely to be below normal to normal, maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal in many parts of the country.”
Along with this, the Meteorological Department has said that during the winter season, less than normal cold wave is expected in most parts of North-West, Central, East and North-East India. During December 2023, monthly average minimum temperatures are likely to remain above normal over most parts of the country. Most parts of the country will remain above normal, except some areas of Central India and North India, where above normal maximum temperatures are likely.
