Sanjay Singh is considered close to former Indian Wrestling Association president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Sanjay Kumar Singh who will now serve as the new President of WFI is also known as Bablu. He is originally from Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. The name of his village is Jhansi. Sanjay Singh has a long association with wrestling. His father and grandfather used to organize riots. He has been an office bearer in both the Wrestling Association of Uttar Pradesh and the National Wrestling Association.
He got the responsibility of the post of Vice President
In a major development in the Indian Wrestling Federation, apart from Sanjay Singh being elected as the President of the Federation, AK Saha, Jai Prakash, Kartar Singh and Shri Fauni have been elected to the role of Vice President. Also, Lokant has been elected as the General Secretary of the wrestling organization.
