Responding to the question of contesting the Lok Sabha elections, she said that she wants to concentrate on work related to Ganga. Uma Bharti said that if I contest the Lok Sabha elections, the responsibility of my constituency and work for the Ganga river cannot happen simultaneously.

“BJP won more than 400 seats”

The former CM said, “I want complete freedom for two years to complete the works related to Ganga. There is no dispute regarding Ganga regarding caste, community or political parties. The entire plan is ready, all permissions have been received. , only the pace has slowed down. Prime Minister Modi is also dedicated to Ganga. If needed, I will take part in the Ganga campaign, but will not contest the elections. We want BJP to win more than 400 seats. Earlier I had announced that I will not contest the elections. I will stand, but now nothing matters more to me than the river Ganga.”

Attack on Rahul Gandhi

During this, Uma Bharti also made a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said, “He talks about democracy in the country, but forgets that his party had declared emergency. He talks about division on the basis of religion, but forgets that his party had declared emergency with the Sikhs. What did you do.” He further said that the oldest party has lost its status to talk about democracy. If the opposition is weak today, it is because of its ‘karma’.
