Uttarkashi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday said that the work of laying rescue pipe from the debris of Silkyara tunnel has been completed and 41 laborers trapped in the tunnel for the last 16 days will be rescued soon. Rescue workers completed the work of drilling 60 meters of debris in the tunnel by Tuesday afternoon.
Dhami wrote on ‘X’, “With the immense blessings of Baba Boukhnag, as a result of the prayers of crores of citizens of the country and due to the tireless efforts of the rescue agencies engaged in the operation, the work of laying the pipe in the tunnel has been completed and our brothers Will be taken out soon.” A portion of the tunnel had collapsed on November 12 and 41 workers were trapped inside it.
