Weather Update: Cold increased in these states of the country, Meteorological Department told how the weather will be in the next 24 hours

Severe winter is falling in the country

New Delhi: Now the period of severe winter has started in North India. Fresh snowfall has occurred in many areas of the hill states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, during the next three days, there will be a decrease in temperature in North India including UP, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department says that severe cold will start by the end of December.

It has rained in some districts of Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours. Even today there are chances of rain in many districts including Lucknow. In such a situation, cold is increasing due to falling temperature. The minimum temperature recorded in Bareilly on Wednesday was 8.4 degrees. At the same time, cold is increasing in Delhi-NCR also. This morning a drop in temperature is being seen due to light winds. Apart from this, the temperature is continuously falling in many districts of Bihar. Because of this it is increasing in winter. The cold may increase further during the next three days.

Cold will increase in Delhi-NCR

Light fog was seen in the entire NCR including Delhi and Noida in the morning. Today the maximum temperature in Delhi will be 26 degrees and the minimum will be 9 degrees Celsius. The chill is increasing due to light breeze in the morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality in many areas of Delhi remains in the very poor category.

In Kashmir, the cold has increased with the mercury dropping below zero in most parts of the valley. At many places the temperature was recorded below 3 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district dropped below minus 4.3 degrees Celsius.

Cyclonic storm Migjoum has now weakened over Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Because of this, heavy rain is not expected now. However, there may be rain at some places in these states even today. Heavy rainfall was recorded in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours. Waterlogging also occurred at some places including Chennai.
