Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday said Sanskar Bharati should be prepared to deal with attempts to use art to change the culture of the society. Bhagwat was addressing the ‘Bharat Muni Samman Samaroh’ during the All India Kalasadhak Sangam organized by RSS affiliate Sanskar Bharati in Bengaluru. On this occasion, he said that after many years of independence, India is moving towards discovering its ‘self-respect’.
“Art is being used to spread bad culture”
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said, “Art was used to gain popularity and change the culture of the society. Sometimes art is used to spread bad culture. Sanskar Bharati will also have to be ready to deal with that.” He said that Sanskar Bharati will need a group of artists for the development of its culture. There should be such a group of artists who can guide world culture. Bhagwat predicted that the country would flourish and create its own identity. He said India’s ‘self’ has come back with the arrival of Ram Lalla in the newly built temple in Ayodhya.
“Slowly now India will wake up and recognize itself”
During the All India Kalasadhak Sangam organized by Sanskar Bharati, Bhagwat said, “It has been 75 years since we became independent, but it has taken a long time for the pride of independence, the Indianness of India, to re-emerge in the minds of people. Now Gradually, that is happening and hence, by cultivating any aspect of Indianness, by maintaining it, by keeping it intact, by keeping it intact… the people who were ascetics doing such work, are getting public recognition and state recognition from the society’s point of view. They were neglected in a way since then. That neglect has now ended. Slowly now India will wake up, India will recognize itself.”
“Why should Ramlala come? The soul of India has returned.”
Bhagwat further said, “On January 22, during the appearance of Shri Ram Lal in the temple, I had said that if Ram Lal comes to the temple, the soul of India has returned. After that incident, this series will now start. India in every region. Such incidents of manifestation of self will become visible and after the appearance of Ramlala, the first such incident has become available to the country because of Sanskar Bharati.
