Non-veg food served to vegetarian in flight
A woman passenger on an Air India flight from Calicut to Mumbai expressed her dissatisfaction over the airline’s catering on social media after she was served non-vegetarian food when she had ordered for vegetarian food. Veera Jain has told its entire story on social media platform X. Along with this, pictures of the food served by the airlines have also been posted. In this post, he has also tagged the Indian Aviation Authority (DGCA), Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Ordeal narrated on social media
The photographs showed the non-vegetarian meal served to him during the journey, along with his PNR number and flight details. She wrote, “On my @airindia flight AI582 I was served vegetarian food with chicken pieces! I boarded the flight from Calicut airport. The flight was scheduled to take off at 18:40, but departed from the airport at 19:40. ” He wrote in another post, “When I informed the cabin supervisor (Sona), she apologized and told me that apart from me and my friend, there were more than one complaints on the same issue. However, when I informed the crew So no action was taken.”
My feelings were hurt- Veera
Veera further wrote, “First the delay in serving food, then non-vegetarian food instead of vegetarian food. This is extremely disappointing and has hurt my sentiments. I request Air India to take strict action against its catering services and delay.” She further wrote, “And I would suggest everyone – please double check what you are eating on the plane. After two highly delayed flights (went to Kozhikode on January 4 and returned on January 8) and being served non-veg, now my “I have lost confidence in all airline food items.”
