Today we have brought for you a simple and quick bottle gourd soup recipe, which has the wonderful taste of desi tadka. Weight can be reduced by using both tomato soup and capsicum mixed with bottle gourd in soup.

Ingredients to make Lauki Soup

  • 5 cups bottle gourd (cut into pieces)

  • 2 tomatoes (cut into two halves)

  • 1-2 onions (cut into two parts)

  • 1 capsicum (cut into two)

  • 1 tsp olive oil/vegetarian oil

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • salt as per taste

  • 1 teaspoon (or more) black pepper powder

Bottle gourd soup recipe

Add bottle gourd, onion, tomato and capsicum in pressure cooker and wait for 1-2 whistles. Release the pressure and put all these boiled vegetables in a blender and prepare a smooth and creamy paste. Pour olive oil/veg oil in a pan and add cumin seeds for tadka. Add the bottle gourd paste to the pan and cook everything together for one to two minutes. Sprinkle it with a little salt and pepper and serve.
