Chana dal puri on Makar Sankranti,
The festival of Makar Sankranti is about to come. In such a situation, people are already making various types of laddus, chikkis and dishes in their homes. On the day of Makar Sankranti, Khichdi is prepared and Puri and Kheer are prepared to offer to the temple. Ingredients for making Chana Puri
- Half cup soaked gram dal
- one and a half cup wheat flour
- Ginger
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- salt to taste
- turmeric powder
- coriander powder
- Garam Masala
- Celery
- Dry Kasuri Methi
- coriander leaves
- Oil
- Asafoetida
How to make Chana Puri
To make chana puri, first soak half a cup of chana dal overnight. In the morning, take out the lentils from the water and put them in a grinder jar. Now add 4-5 garlic cloves, half teaspoon black pepper powder, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon cumin and half glass water in this jar and grind them finely in the grinder. In the mixture of gram dal that we have prepared, add a little turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala and 1 teaspoon celery, salt as per taste and mix well the kasoori fenugreek and coriander leaves in the mixture. Now take one and a half cup wheat flour in a big pan and add lentil paste to it. Now mix this paste well in the flour and knead the dough with it. When the dough is kneaded, apply ghee on it.
