The battle for Ranji Trophy 2024 is in its final stages. The semi-final match is being played between Mumbai and Tamil Nadu. In this match, Tamil Nadu captain R Sai Kishore won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Tamil Nadu team was all out for just 146 runs. After this, after the end of the first day’s play, Mumbai scored 45 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. But on the second day of the match, Tamil Nadu captain R Sai Kishore bowled amazingly.

Became the third bowler to do so

R Sai Kishore has so far taken 5 wickets for 54 runs in 25 overs of the match. He badly destroyed the middle order of Mumbai team. He has completed his 50 wickets in the current season of Ranji Trophy. He has become the third bowler from Tamil Nadu to complete 50 wickets in a season of Ranji Trophy. Before him, the great S Venkataraghavan (58 in 1972-73) and Ashish Kapoor (50 in 1999-00) had made the record of taking 50 wickets in a Ranji season.

Bowled brilliantly against Mumbai

R Sai Kishore presented an excellent example of bowling in the semi-final against Mumbai. Sai Kishore completed his 5-wicket haul in the 48th over, stumping the well-set Musheer Khan (55) and shattering the stumps of Shams Mulani with a dangerous fast-spinning ball. Sai Kishore has taken 160 wickets in 38 first class matches. He has taken 5 wicket haul in first class cricket for the 10th time.

Has played matches for Gujarat in IPL

R Sai Kishore plays for Gujarat Titans in IPL. Gujarat Titans team bought Sai Kishore for Rs 3 crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction. He has taken 6 wickets in five matches of IPL 2022. Now his strong performance before IPL 2024 is great news for Gujarat Titans.
