Dravid not interested in becoming a coach

According to a report in Times of India, Rahul Dravid is not interested in becoming the head coach of India in the coming time. He does not want to go through the difficult phase that he had to face as a player and then as a coach and he has informed the BCCI about this. Dravid’s career as a player has spanned 20 years. Now if Dravid does not want to become the coach of Team India in future, then there can be a big change in the coaching staff.

This veteran can become India’s coach

Before becoming the coach of the Indian team, Rahul Dravid was the head of the National Cricket Academy. After becoming his coach, VVS Laxman was made the Chief of NCA. According to the report of Times of India, Laxman is ready to become the head coach of Team India. He is excited for this role. He had gone to Ahmedabad to meet officials in this regard. He will sign a contract to become the coach of Team India for a long time. The report further states that he will start coaching from the South Africa tour.

The Indian team will currently play a five-match T20 series against Australia. Suryakumar Yadav has been made the captain for this series and VVS Laxman will take over the responsibility of the coach. After this, India has to play a three-match T20 series against South Africa from December 10. Team India will be eyeing to start preparations for T20 World Cup 2024 from now.
