ICC Emerging Player of the Year announced, this player defeated Yashasvi Jaiswal and became the winner – India TV Hindi

ICC Has announced the Emerging Player of the Year. This award has been won by a star player from New Zealand. This player has won this big award by defeating India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal. New Zealand’s star all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has won the Emerging Player of the Year award for the year 2023. Australian opening batsman Phoebe Litchfield has been named the winner of the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year in the women’s category. Netherlands player Bas de Leede and Kenya captain Quintor Able were chosen as Associate Cricketer of the Year in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.

Rachin Ravindra had a tough competition from India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sri Lanka’s Dilshan Madushanka and Gerald Coetzee to win the Emerging Player of the Year award for the year 2023. But Rachin has won this big ICC award by leaving behind these three players.

Strong performance in ODI World Cup 2023

New Zealand batting all-rounder Rachin Ravindra made headlines for his ODI exploits in 2023. The format in which he debuted in March. He showed a glimpse of this in the beginning itself by playing an inning of 49 runs against Sri Lanka. He also did wonders with the ball. At the same time, he took three wickets each away from home against Pakistan and England.

Rachin Ravindra performed amazingly in the ODI World Cup 2023. He played an inning of 123 runs in the opening match against England and emerged as the biggest match winner for the team. Ravindra scored 116 in a spirited target chase against Australia at the same venue before scoring another century against Pakistan in his parents’ hometown Bengaluru. He scored 578 runs in the ODI World Cup.

Rachin Ravindra said after winning the award that it is obviously a very special feeling. Whenever you are recognized by the ICC for something, it is always special. Having the opportunity to play so much cricket in so many different environments has been really special. Congratulations to all the friends who had a great year last year.
