ICC Rankings: This player is the number one batsman in Test, Ben Stokes has the advantage

ICC Test Rankings Update: A new ranking has been released by the ICC during the Test series being played between India and England. However, there was a gap of about 10 days between the second and third Test and the rankings had come even before that. Therefore, this time there is not much turmoil visible in the rankings. Especially there has not been much change in the top 10 rankings. But England captain Ben Stokes, playing against India, has gained in the rankings this time.

Kane Williamson is the number one batsman in test

In the new rankings for Test cricket released by the ICC, Kane Williamson remains the number one Test batsman. His rating is currently 883 and currently no player is seen challenging him. Australia’s Steve Smith is in second place with a rating of 818. That means there is a lot of difference between the first and second batsman. England’s Joe Root has a rating of 797 and remains in third place. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell is at fourth position with a rating of 788. Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is at number 5 and his rating is 768.

Virat Kohli remains at number 7 in Test rankings

There is no change in the top 5 in the ICC Test rankings, something similar is visible after this also. Australia’s Usman Khawaja is at number 6 with a rating of 765. Virat Kohli has not played a single match of the series yet nor will he play the remaining matches, yet he remains at number 7 with a rating of 760. Harry Brook of England is at number 8 with a rating of 758. Damuth Karunaratne of Sri Lanka is at ninth position with a rating of 750 and Marnus Labuschagne of Australia is at tenth position. His rating is 746.

Ben Stokes gained one place

There may have been no change in the top 10, but England captain Ben Stokes has gained one place. Earlier he was at 16th position, but has now moved up one place to 15th. His rating is 676. With Stokes moving forward, South Africa’s Temba Bavuma has lost one place. He has now moved to 16th position with a rating of 671. England’s Ollie Pope has jumped one place. He has now reached 16th position with a rating of 671. Apart from this, if we talk about top 20, there are no changes visible there either.
