The Olympic Games are to be organized in Paris in the year 2024, for which all the athletes have already started their preparations. Meanwhile, India’s star badminton player PV Sindhu, who was not playing for some time due to injury, is also all set to return to the court. PV Sindhu, who has won a medal in the Olympics twice, has also given a statement regarding the upcoming Paris Olympics, in which she said that it is going to be very challenging and she will have to be smarter to win the gold medal.

This time I have to play smarter

Former world champion PV Sindhu has not been able to perform up to her level in the badminton court for some time now. In the last 2 years, PV Sindhu has had to struggle due to her poor form and injuries. Sindhu’s left knee was injured in the Commonwealth Games 2022, after which she also got injured during the French Open in 2023. Sindhu has now said in her statement to PTI about her return to the court that this time the Olympics is going to be a different kind of experience because the 2016 and 2020 Olympics were completely different. Paris Olympics will be more challenging but I have become more experienced now and this time I will have to play more smartly. Players occupying top 10 to 15 positions in the women’s circuit present a tough challenge. In such a situation, it becomes important to focus on your game and come to the court with a good strategy so that you can adopt another strategy if your initial strategy does not work.

PV Sindhu will return from this tournament

PV Sindhu further said in her statement that I have a new trainer, physio, dietician, coach and mentor. This way everything is new and I am happy with the way he is helping me. I am extremely fortunate that I got the opportunity to work with Prakash sir because he is a great player. His methods and suggestions for practice helped me. As far as Agus is concerned, I have known him for a long time. We will have to remember how my performance is. Hopefully everything will be good in future. I have regained full fitness and am excited to play in the Asian Team Championship. Let us tell you that PV Sindhu will return from the Badminton Asia Team Championship to be held in Malaysia between 13 to 18 February.
