In the third match of the three-match T20 series being played between India and South Africa at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, the Indian team, batting first, scored 201 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Team India, who came to bat first after losing the toss, witnessed a brilliant century from the bat of captain Suryakumar Yadav, who faced 56 balls and scored 100 runs with the help of 7 fours and 8 sixes. Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal also played an inning of 60 runs. Surya has also made many records with his fourth T20 International century.

Completed four centuries in the least number of innings

So far, only three players including Suryakumar Yadav have managed to score centuries four times in T20 International. This includes the names of Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell. While Rohit scored his four centuries in his 140th T20 innings, Glenn Maxwell completed his fourth T20 International century in his 92nd innings. Suryakumar Yadav accomplished this in just 57 innings to reach this milestone. Apart from this, Suryakumar Yadav has become the first person in world cricket whose all four T20 International centuries have come in different countries. Apart from this, Surya is the first batsman after Glenn Maxwell who has played three century innings away from home in this format.

After Rohit, he became the second Indian captain in this matter.

Till now, the record of scoring a century as a captain in T20 International for India was in the name of Rohit Sharma, whereas now Suryakumar Yadav has also joined this list. While Rohit has scored 2 centuries as captain, Suryakumar Yadav has now added a century to his name as captain. Apart from this, the record of scoring most centuries as a T20 International non-opening batsman has now been registered in the name of Suryakumar Yadav.
