Star Indian batsman Karun Nair has not been bought by any team in the IPL 2024 auction. He remains unsold. He last played in IPL 2022. He had kept his base price for the auction at Rs 50 lakh. Then he played three matches. He has played for RCB, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils and Punjab Kings in the IPL. He has scored 1496 runs in 76 IPL matches, which includes 10 half-centuries.
Running out of Team India
Karun Nair made his Test debut for Team India in 2016. After this he scored 374 runs in 6 Test matches for India, which included a triple century. He played an innings of 303 runs in the test match against England. But Nair played the last match for Team India in the year 2017 and he could not make a place in the playing eleven of the Indian team again. Nair has scored 6171 runs in 88 first class matches, which includes 16 centuries. Now after being out of Team India, even the IPL teams have turned their backs on him.
This player got the most money
Kolkata Knight Riders have showered money on Mitchell Starc in the IPL 2024 auction. He has become the most expensive player in the history of IPL. No player has received more money than him in IPL. KKR team has bought Starc for Rs 24 crore 75 lakh. Whereas in the IPL 2024 auction, Pat Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20 crore 50 lakh. He has become the second most expensive player.
