Abu Dhabi Hindu Temple: More than 65 thousand devotees gathered for darshan on the first day – India TV Hindi

More than 65 thousand devotees gathered to visit the Hindu temple of Abu Dhabi on the very first day.

Abu Dhabi: In February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. This temple was not yet opened for common devotees. On Sunday, March 3, the doors of the temple were opened for common devotees. More than 65 thousand devotees gathered to visit the temple on the first day itself. During this period, about 40 thousand devotees came to the temple premises in the morning shift and more than 25 thousand people came to the temple premises in the evening.

Devotees visited peacefully

A devotee visiting the Abu Dhabi temple said, “I have never seen such an amazing order among thousands of people. I was worried that I would have to wait for hours and would not be able to have darshan in peace, but we had wonderful darshan and were extremely satisfied. Salute to all BAPS volunteers and temple staff.” Praveena Shah from London, narrating her experience of her first visit to BAPS Hindu Temple, Abu Dhabi, said, “I am disabled and despite thousands of visitors, the care given by the staff was remarkable. I could see crowds of people peacefully moving from one area to another.”

I thought I would get lost in the crowd of people – Devotee

Balachandra from Kerala said, “I thought I would get lost in the crowd of people, but I was surprised at how well the trip was managed. I was able to enjoy the view peacefully, can’t wait till my next visit. Neha and Pankaj, who have lived in Dubai for 40 years, said, “We have been waiting for this moment, and the temple has exceeded all our expectations. This is a true surprise. We feel blessed because now we have a place to come and pray and feel spirituality.”

Temple open for common devotees from Sunday

“We are extremely grateful to the leaders and local authorities of the UAE for the new bus services and their all-round support in making this day a reality,” said Sadhu Brahmaviharidas, reflecting on the historic significance of Sunday’s inauguration for the public. I would also like to thank the pilgrims who were so patient and understanding during their journey. “This temple will serve as a symbol of spirituality and a symbol of harmony, bringing together people of all backgrounds and beliefs.”
