After the National Assembly elections in Pakistan, now Presidential election is going to be held – India TV Hindi

Islamabad: After the completion of National Assembly elections in Pakistan, another big election is going to be held. Preparations for this have already started. After Imran Khan’s party PTI made major allegations of rigging in the National Assembly elections, now the branch of Pakistan Election Commission is at stake in this election also. The Election Commission announced on Friday that voting for the presidential election will take place on March 9. In this, former President Asif Ali Zardari is being considered the strongest contender. It is said to be almost certain for him to get the top constitutional post again after almost 11 years.

According to Geo News report, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said in a notice that the presidential election will be held on March 9 in the National Assembly and all provincial assemblies from 10 am to 4 pm. According to the schedule released by the Election Commission, candidates for the respective posts can file nomination papers with the election authorities in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta before Saturday afternoon. The ECP said the sorting of nomination papers will be done by officials on March 4, and the nominations can be withdrawn the next day.

Asif is a contender from which party?

Former President Asif Ali Zardari has been nominated for the top post by a six-party alliance led by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif. Due to this, Zardari’s victory is considered almost certain. The alliance includes Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), among other parties.
