Rafah (Gaza Strip): A great calamity has befallen the war-torn Palestinians. In fact, suddenly the food supply to northern Gaza has been stopped. Due to this, the Palestinians living in these areas are now at risk of dying of hunger. Palestinian citizens are troubled by this. The World Food Program (WFP) said on Tuesday it had halted food supplies to northern Gaza amid growing chaos across the region due to the Israel-Palestine war, raising the risk of starvation. A study conducted by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warns that one in six children in northern Gaza is severely malnourished.

Truck penetration has halved in the past two weeks due to the escalating war, according to UN data. UN officials and relief workers said Israel’s failure to ensure the safety of trucks amid bombings and ground attacks has disrupted the arrival of trucks and the distribution of food. He said that Palestinians, who are facing starvation due to lack of security, often attack these trucks loaded with food. There is a danger of deepening the crisis in the area due to the interruption of the aid operation.

Israel turned Gaza into a crematorium

Over the past two days, several airstrikes have hit areas of northern Gaza that the Israeli military said it had largely liberated from Hamas a few weeks ago. At the same time, the army on Tuesday ordered the evacuation of two areas in the southern part of Gaza city. After the attack by Israeli soldiers in Gaza, a large part of the city has been reduced to debris. At the same time, many lakhs of Palestinians are still deprived of aid. They are facing famine-like conditions as they and their families are getting food only once a day. Food supplies were stopped for the first time since a truck was attacked three weeks ago. However, attempts were made to restart it this week but convoys of trucks faced firing on Sunday and Monday. (AP)
