Varun Ghosh becomes the new senator

Canberra: Indian-origin barrister Varun Ghosh has become the new senator in the Parliament of Australia. He has taken oath by placing his hand on Bhagavad Gita. His move is being discussed all over the world.

Varun was born in India, hence he is the first member of the Australian Parliament who was born in India. Varun is a resident of Western Australia and has been elected as the new senator. He has been elected to the Senate of the Federal Parliament.

Australian PM Anthony Albanese has congratulated Varun and said that new senator Varun Ghosh is welcome. It’s great to have you on the team.

Know about Varun Ghosh

Varun came to Australia with his parents when he was 17 years old. He attended Christ Church Grammar School. Varun Ghosh is a lawyer in Perth and holds a degree in Arts and Law from the University of Western Australia.

He has also worked as a finance lawyer in New York. He has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank in Washington, DC. He started his political career by joining the Labor Party of Australia in Perth.
