Hamas releases 13 Israeli hostages

After 48 days of fierce fighting in Gaza, a ceasefire has been reached and now Israel and Hamas will not attack each other for 4 days. With this, Hamas has released 13 Israeli hostages. All these hostages are residents of Thailand. Hamas has handed them over to the Red Cross. Let us tell you that Hamas still has more than 200 hostages. There has been a 4-day ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, after which 13 hostages have been released for the first time. The hostages have been released on the 49th day of the war. In return, today Israel will also release 39 Palestinian prisoners, who have been released at the Rafah border.

Let us tell you that in the midst of the war, the Israeli government has reached an agreement with Hamas. Under this, Israel will release 150 hostages of Hamas and 50 hostages of Israel. Till now, a total of 236 Israeli hostages are in the custody of Hamas. Hamas has demanded Israel to extend the ceasefire in exchange for releasing 10 hostages daily.

What was the agreement?

Israel and Hamas agreed to a four-day temporary ceasefire. It was decided in the agreement that in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners, Hamas would release 50 hostages. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) had said in a statement that 50 women and children held hostage in Gaza would be released in four days. There will be ceasefire during this period.

Hamas had taken 240 people hostage

Hamas launched a major attack on Israel on October 7 and Hamas commandos took 240 hostages with them. Israel has been enraged since then. Israel is continuously attacking Gaza through air strikes and ground attacks. Meanwhile, a ceasefire has been reached with the mediation of Qatar and America. Under this, Hamas and Israel will release hostages and prisoners. Countries like Qatar and America were constantly putting pressure on this deal because their own people are also hostages of Hamas.
