For the first time, Canada has given its statement on the threatening video of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. However, no action has been taken so far by Canada against Gurpatwant Singh. Whereas even before this, Gurpatwant Singh had given such open threats against India many times. Many times the tricolor has been trampled under feet. Now the Canadian government has said that it takes every threat seriously. Let us tell you that in the video posted online last week, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, General Counsel of Khalistani organization, Sikh for Justice, is shown threatening.

Canada’s transport minister said on Thursday that Canadian Federal Police are investigating Air India’s warning not to fly from November 19 in a video circulated online. “We take every threat seriously, especially when it relates to airlines,” Transportation Minister Pablo Rodriguez told reporters in Ottawa. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are “investigating,” he said. He warned Sikhs in the video, “Do not fly Air India after November 19, your life could be in danger.

Canada adopted double standards

On one hand, Pablo Rodriguez talked about taking the threat seriously, on the other hand, he refused to consider Gurpatwant Singh’s warning as a threat. He told Canadian media that this was not a threat, but a call to boycott Indian businesses. Let us tell you that about 770,000 Sikhs live in Canada, which is about two percent of the total population there. Earlier, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had alleged in September that Indian agents had played a role in the killing of Canadian Sikh leader and Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar near Vancouver in June. After these allegations by Trudeau, there is great tension in the relations between India and Canada.
