London: Former US President Donald Trump has received a big blow from the British court. The London court has rejected the much-discussed lawsuit filed by Trump. The court has said that there is no reason to prosecute this case. Trump has become frustrated by this order of the court. Meanwhile, many cases are going on against Donald Trump in the American court, due to which clouds of doubt are looming over his candidature in the presidential elections to be held in America in November 2024.
It is noteworthy that a judge in London on Thursday dismissed the lawsuit filed by former US President Donald Trump, in which a former British spy was accused of making “shocking and scandalous claims”. Trump has said that the former spy’s claims were false, tarnishing his reputation. Judge Karen Stein said that the case filed by Trump against ‘Orbis Business Intelligence’ should not be heard.
Trump had asked for damages from the company
Accusing the former US President of having his reputation tarnished by the spy’s lies, he had sought compensation from the accused company. The company Trump sued, ‘Orbis Business Intelligence’, was founded by Christopher Steele, who created a dossier in 2016 that allegedly contained false claims and unsubstantiated allegations that could lead to Trump taking office. Just before then a political storm had arisen. The former president had sought damages from the company for allegedly violating British data protection laws.
