Award to famous Indian lawyer Ajit Mishra
London Award News: Famous Indian-born lawyer Ajit Mishra has been honored with the prestigious ‘Freedom of the City of London’ award for his outstanding contribution to law and public life. Mishra, founder and chairman of UK India Legal Partnership UK ILP, was presented the award on January 23, according to a press statement.

He has over two decades of professional experience and has been a Partner and Head of India Desk at some of the leading domestic and international law firms. Chris Hayward, Chairman, Policy, Corporation of London, and Shravan Joshi, Vice Chairman, Civic Affairs Committee, nominated Mishra for the prestigious award.
Said this on receiving the award
On receiving the award, Mishra said, ‘I am grateful to be given the Freedom of the City of London Award. I started my legal career in the city of London, and it is a proud moment for me to be honored by the same city.

The statement said that the history of this award, given by the Corporation of London, goes back to the 13th century and it is given to dignitaries who make outstanding contributions to the public life of London.
