Iran includes state-of-the-art cruise missiles in its naval fleet.

Amidst the Israel-Hamas war and the ongoing heavy tension with America, Iran has started increasing its combat capability. Iran’s Navy on Sunday added indigenously developed advanced cruise missiles to its arsenal. The strike capability of these missiles is up to America, Iran’s state TV gave this information. The Tlaih and Nasser cruise missiles landed at a naval base near the Indian Ocean in the southern Iranian port of Konark, about 1,400 kilometers (850 miles) southeast of the capital Tehran, TV reported.

Navy chief Admiral Shahram Irani said the Taliyah has a strike range of more than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) and is capable of changing targets after being fired. He said the Nasir has a strike range of 100 kilometers (62 mi) and can be deployed on warships. Earlier last month, a container ship owned by an Israeli billionaire was attacked by a suspected Iranian drone in the Indian Ocean. Israel has waged a war against Iran-backed Hamas in the Gaza Strip, due to which Israeli ships are being targeted.

Iran has missiles with a range of 2000 km

Iran periodically announces testing, production, and induction of new military equipment, but these announcements cannot be independently verified. Iran says it has a stockpile of a variety of missiles with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles), capable of reaching its arch-enemy Israel and US targets in the region. Obviously, Iran’s two main enemies are Israel and America. (AP)
