Jaishankar Uganda Visit: India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reached the African country Uganda to participate in the 19th summit. Here he met the Foreign Minister of Maldives. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has reached Uganda’s capital Kampala to participate in the summit. As soon as he reached Yungada, Jaishankar shared a post on social media and said that I am very eager to join my colleagues in the coming two days.

It is noteworthy that India has provided 10 buses, five ambulances, 10 tractors and flag stands to host the summit of NAM and G77 group. Ministerial and senior official level meetings will be held before the summit. Minister of State for External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh will attend the meeting of foreign ministers before the NAM summit. Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met Maldives Foreign Minister Musa Jamir in Kampala, Uganda on Thursday. The Foreign Minister said that India-Maldives relations were discussed. Issues related to NAM were also discussed.

Jaishankar will meet his counterparts during his visit to Uganda

According to a release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, India will be represented at the G77 3rd South Summit by Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan. The 19th NAM Summit is being held in Uganda under the theme Enhancing Cooperation for Shared Global Prosperity.

Jaishankar to visit Nigeria from 21 to 23 January

After this, Foreign Minister Jaishankar will go to Nigeria on an official visit from 21 to 23 January. The External Affairs Minister will co-chair the 6th India Nigeria Joint Commission Meeting with his counterpart and meet other leaders. The External Affairs Minister will also inaugurate the third edition of the Nigeria-India Business Council meeting and deliver a speech at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs.
