Alabama: US Vice President Kamala Harris has demanded a ceasefire in Gaza. Addressing the people during an event, he said that people in Gaza are dying of hunger. The conditions there are very bad. We must impose a ceasefire for the people living in Gaza. Kamala Harris said that what we are seeing every day in Gaza is devastating. We have seen reports of people eating leaves and animal feed. Women are giving birth to malnourished babies with little or no medical care and children are dying from malnutrition and dehydration.

Condemn attacks on Palestinians

Harris further said that ‘I have said many times that many innocent Palestinians have been killed. Just a few days ago we saw hungry, desperate people reach out to trucks to get food for their families after weeks of aid not reaching them. Here they had to face firing and anarchy. ‘Our hearts are broken for the victims of that terrible tragedy and for all the innocent people in Gaza who are clearly suffering from a humanitarian disaster.’

People are dying of hunger in Gaza

He said that ‘people in Gaza are dying of hunger, the conditions are inhumane and our common humanity compels us to act. As President Joe Biden said on Friday, the United States is committed to immediately getting more life-saving assistance to innocent Palestinians in need. Yesterday, the Department of Defense airdropped its first humanitarian aid facility. The United States will continue these airdrops. We will work on a new route via sea to deliver aid.

This appeal was made to Israel

Kamala Harris said that ‘the Israeli government should do more to significantly increase the flow of aid. They should not impose any unnecessary restrictions on aid distribution. They must ensure that humanitarian personnel and convoys are not targeted. “They should work to restore basic services and promote order in Gaza so that more food, water and fuel can reach those in need.”
