A large number of Hindu communities live in Nepal, which has enjoyed the title of Hindu nation for a long time. There is a large number of Madhesi people among them. However, in recent times, Nepal has lost the title of Hindu nation. There was monarchy in Nepal for a long time. Amidst all this, the people of Nepal came out on the streets on Thursday demanding the restoration of monarchy in Nepal and the big demand of declaring the country a Hindu nation.

The people of Nepal took to the streets and protested strongly. They had flags in their hands. During this time a large number of security personnel were deployed. These people protested and demanded that monarchy should be re-established in Nepal and it should be declared a Hindu nation.

Monarchy ended in Nepal in the year 2008. Supporters of former Nepal King Gyanendra reached Nepal’s capital Kathmandu from all over the country to demand the return of this monarchy. There was so much anger among the people regarding the creation of Hindu Rashtra that the police had to work hard to control the crowd. The police had to use batons and tear gas to disperse the crowd that took to the streets.

Protestors expressed intention to establish monarchy
The protesters accused Nepal’s government and other political parties of corruption and governance failure. The intention behind the demand of these people to establish a monarchy was clearly visible in the protests. Apart from this, people who have come to the capital Kathmandu from all over Nepal have strongly demanded to make Nepal back a Hindu nation.
