Nomination has started for general elections in Pakistan, know from where Imran Khan will contest.

Nomination has started for the general elections to be held in February in Pakistan. The Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday started accepting nomination papers from prospective candidates. A large number of candidates filed their nominations on this day. With this, the process of general elections on 8th February has started. Starting the process of receiving nomination papers from prospective candidates, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said they can collect the forms from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, you can submit your nomination papers till 22 December. The ECP will release the preliminary list of candidates on December 23, while the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from December 24 to 30. After the new delimitation, the National Assembly, the lower house of Parliament, will have 336 seats, including 266 general seats, 60 seats reserved for women and 10 seats reserved for non-Muslims.

Imran Khan will fight from here

The former Prime Minister of Pakistan will contest elections from 3 places while being in jail. This announcement was made by his party on Wednesday. However, the party has not yet announced the names of those Lok Sabha seats. But it has been told that Imran Khan is contesting the elections and he will file nomination from 3 places. Till now there was suspense over Imran Khan contesting the elections. In one case, the court had found him guilty and declared him ineligible to contest elections for 5 years. But later the High Court canceled the sentence of Imran Khan. After this he became eligible to contest elections. However, he is still in jail in other cases including Toshakhan. It is believed that he will contest the elections while in jail.
