According to the police of Pakistan’s Punjab province, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s senior vice president and lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat was arrested under the Public Order Ordinance. A large police team accompanied by plainclothes personnel pounced on Marwat, pulled him from the road and put him in a nearby police van. “Marwat is also wanted in a case in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province and is likely to be handed over to police custody there,” police said.
High Court has given permission to prosecute Pakistanis in military court
