On this the former Prime Minister said that he will record his statement after his lawyer arrives. Referring to the verdict in the Cipher case a day earlier, the former Prime Minister said, ‘Why are you in a hurry? Yesterday also, the sentence was given in a hurry.’ In this matter he said, ‘My lawyer has not come here yet. When they come, I will record the statement after informing them.

Bushra Bibi surrendered after being found guilty

Khan said he appeared in the court only to mark his presence. On this, Khan was asked to record his statement immediately and ‘not to waste the court’s time.’ Khan then walked out of the courtroom, following which the court sentenced the former prime minister and his wife in his absence. After being convicted, Bushra Bibi reached Adiala jail and surrendered. Khan’s sister Alima Khan said that today “the judicial system itself has been razed to the ground.”
