Jerusalem: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has reached Tel Aviv amid bitterness in relations between America and Israel. On October 7 last year, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel. Since this attack, the war between Israel and Hamas continues. This is Antony Blinken’s sixth visit to Israel amid the war and it is considered very important.

there will be an important discussion

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says that during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet, he will discuss the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Options for Israel’s planned ground attack will also be shared during the discussion. Earlier on Thursday, Antony Blinken and Arab leaders discussed ceasefire efforts and the future of Gaza after the conflict.

United Nations Security Council efforts

Significantly, the UN Security Council will vote on Friday on a US-sponsored resolution declaring the “imperativeness of an immediate and lasting ceasefire” in the Israel-Hamas war. The resolution also supports diplomatic efforts for a “cease-fire with respect to the release of all remaining hostages” and emphasizes “the urgent need to increase the delivery of humanitarian assistance to civilians throughout the Gaza Strip.”

How is the situation in Gaza?

So little food supplies have been allowed into Gaza that 60 percent of children under five are now malnourished, compared with less than 1 percent before the war began, the World Health Organization said Thursday. The health ministry in Gaza said the number of Palestinians killed in the territory rose to nearly 32,000 on Thursday.

Hamas took people hostage

Let us tell you that Palestinian terrorists had suddenly attacked Israel on October 7, in which about 1,200 people were killed and about 250 people were taken hostage, after which the war started. Hamas is still believed to be holding around 100 people hostage.
