US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reached Delhi on Thursday night to participate in the India-US “two plus two” foreign and defense ministerial talks. The ‘Two Plus Two’ dialogue will take place today on Friday. US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin has already reached Delhi. The Indian side in the talks will be led by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. “A warm welcome to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on his arrival in New Delhi to co-chair the fifth India-US ‘2+2’ ministerial dialogue,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said on ‘X’.
This talk is going to be held to give a new level to the defense and foreign relations between India and America. Due to this, India’s enemies like China and Pakistan have started feeling insecure. America has now become a strategic partner of India. In such a situation, there is continuous deepening and strengthening of relations between the two countries. US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have focused a lot on the strong relations between the two countries. A former senior US defense official on Wednesday said the US-India defense relationship is in the “right direction” and the ‘2+2’ foreign and defense ministerial talks are a great example of how both sides have taken it further. How much importance has been given to moving forward.
