“Trump is ready to sacrifice democracy”, Joe Biden said in attack on Donald

US President Joe Biden has made a major attack on Donald Trump. Biden said in a January 6 anniversary speech that Trump was “willing to sacrifice democracy.” Biden chose for the speech the symbolic historic site near Valley Forge, where George Washington regrouped the American army during the War of Independence nearly 250 years ago. The US President kicked off his 2024 re-election campaign with a major speech on Friday warning of the threat to democracy and also accused Donald Trump of copying Nazi Germany.

On January 6, on the eve of the third anniversary of the Capitol attack, the 81-year-old Democrat leader said of his potential Republican opponent, “He is willing to sacrifice our democracy, to put himself in power.” Former President Trump had failed to stop the Capitol mob attack in 2021. Trump was also prevented from contesting in provincial elections
